hey, i was just wondering, my band is thinking about using a letter C with a circle around it and a line going through it; in other words, a "no" symbol on top of the C. i was wondering, is there any other band that has used that before?

Um, the Bad Religion logo is the cross with that and I think Crass' logo is similar to that...

The "C" in the circle is the widely used logo for copyright. So technically, by slashing through the logo, threadstarter stands for anti-copyright laws, which also means that he stands for filesharing and also wants to give his bands' first album to all of us for free, amirite?

AIRIC
06-22-2006, 05:43 PM
urrite.

that's sort of what we had going on, about the whole anti-copyright thing. the name of the band is Corporation, we're a ska-punk band. we keep a political way about us, targeting big corporations and the media and such in our lyrics. so, the C with the "no" symbol would sort of symbolize that, no corporations and such. but we dont like how big businesses make easy profits of money for little work, such as copyrighting certain things, so no copyrighting works as well. and yah, we'd probably give our cd out for free, or at least most of the tracks. we go into the studio early july :P
