ITT you pick an album and discuss why you love the album so much. Not only because of the music, but the way you found it and if any of the songs hold any memories with you. Other people can then either talk about the same album and why they love it or pick a different one. I thought doing this would show insight on why people love certain bands so much and let us be a closer community by getting to know each other a little better.
/Ends Dr. Phil rant
Anyone can start if they understand, if not I'll do the first one later.

Against Me! - As The Eternal Cowboy
Pretty much the only album I listened to in the 8th grade. Really reminds me of my first (and last :() girlfriend. This album pretty much solidified punk for me and was awesome music.

Does it have to be about a punk album?

Nice thread. I guess an album would have to mention would be Jimmy Eat World's Clarity. It's just a 60 minute masterpiece and it was one of my deciding factors of going into indie at an early age. It really is one of the greatest.

Rise Against - Revolutions Per Minute and Strike Anywhere - Change Is a Sound
Both of these records got me into everything I listen to now. I'm not ashamed to say I heard both these bands before, say, the Dead Kennedys and the Minutemen (even though I like the latter over the former as of now), because they basically changed my life forever. If it wasn't for these two albums, I feel my life would be, for lack of better wording, doomed for all eternity.
By the way, excellent thread idea Zak.

Against Me!- The Acoustic EP.
This album is solely responsible for getting me into to punk. I listened to it after I saw a record in my record store by Against Me! So I downloaded this Ep and loved it. It is one of my favorite EPs.

The Dead Milkmen - Big Lizard in My Backyard
Until the moment when I listened to the Dead Milkmen, I was really into crappy radio pop-punk type stuff. Once I heard this album, my life was forever changed. I was blown away. Immediately I looked for more of their albums, and because of how fantastic Amazon was (I looked on amazon for track listings so I could download full albums on LimeWire), I found tons of other bands.
Every song on this album is fantastic. Great music, great sing-along-ability, and pretty funny to boot. The 'Milkmen are everything a punk band should be.

NOFX - White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean. Even though I'm not too much of a NOFX fan, this was the first album I bought back in 7th grade. After this, I looked through my dad's cd collection and found: Bad Religion - Stranger Than Fiction, Descendents - Everything Sucks, Propagandhi - How To Clean Everything, Suicide Machines - Destruction by Definition and a little later on Flogging Molly - Swagger. It's pretty schweet and lucky that my dad had all those albums. It really got me into punk...

And out come the wolves - Rancid
This reminds me so much of the summer before highschool and helped me get over the loss of a long term girlfriend, a simpler time. It always reminds me of streetcars and staying out till 3 a.m downtown with some buddies and some vodka. Good times. Not rancid's best album, but definetly they're most personal.
The greatest songs ever written (by us) - NoFx
this album WAS the thing that got me into punk way back in grade seven. When i stopped trying to copy the gangster kids and realised there was a whole other world of music (though nofx probly isn't the best representative of that other world). Some of these songs really inspired me to think differently than my peers like Don't Call me White and Murder the Government. This album lead me directly into the warm open arms of DK, Minor Threat, Rancid, Op Ivy, The Clash, Black Flag and Bad Religion which brought on other things.

Discharge - Decontrol 7''
5 minutes and 48 seconds long, if i start this CD and then masturbate, by the time i get to ejaculation, the last song will just be finishing.

Frankenchrist - DK
Yeah, you all probably expected DK getting mentioned but, this the album that basically morphed me, the first time I "found" it when I was in 5th Grade. Punk seems to have more of an effect when you're younger, but anywas, yeah I thought so differently after listening to the DK's and I also started listening to much punk music in general after that.
