I need to know how the snare roll lie in march music.
You know.. The classic military one.. If you also know the dynamic of each hit, that would just be great! :)
Thanks for the help. :D

I have no idea what you're asking......... Are you asking about a specific piece or march style music in general? And what do you mean by "how the snare roll lie"? That makes no sense. Do you need to know how to rhythmically pace your rolls, how to bounce your sticks, or what? Be a little more specific and descriptive and maybe someone can help you!

Well.. I ain't a drummer so I don't know the technical terms, therefore - a cryptic message.
What I'm looking for is snare rolls written in tablature, those that are commonly used in March music.
I need something so that I can re-produce it in Fruity Loops.
Erm.. Something like: (This will look weird perhabs..)

If your not a drummer... There's no hope in you getting that down clean without lots of practice. If you think your gunna just figure it out over night and be able to pull it off, it dosn't work that way. Drums take lots of work.. Even 1 snare drum

I'm not sure if you can do a buzz roll in fruity loops but you can just do,
x-x-xxxxx-x-xxxx|x-x........
and speed it up
maybe put in another snare drum on any accents

if you have any knowledge of music you should know how to write that, in FL that might look something like
S|x-x-xxxxx-x-xxxxx-x-xxxxx-
its just two eighth notes then 4 16th notes, repeat.
how you can be a member since oct 2005 (presumably youve been playing music at least that long) and not know even the SMALLEST bit of theory (it doesnt get much more basic then reading note values) just boggles the mind.
EDIT:damn beat

He wants to program it on fruity loops, not play it.

Electric Requiem:
I can easily make and hear a beat in my head - problem comes when I have to translate it to paper. Been a musician for quite awhile, but my skills are within string instruments. :p
The tabs works perfectly fine by the way, thanks. :)
This would be the correct pattern right?
S|x-x-xxxxx-x-xxxx|x-x-xxxxx-x-x(<-1/4th)|
But is the velocity the same for each hit? Or is 1-2-3-4 marked by a harder hit?
Ethan.

... Just like every other instrument.
