Alienware = money for chassis. Build your own PC or use Magicmicro/tiger direct.

Alienware is owned by Dell
not good
ill repeat posts and agree that alienware is not worth the money for the name. they have some cool things and the parts system drivers etc work very well together. i dont think its worth paying for though. even teh cheaper systems. in fact they could be worse and you will pay more for the name and get a lower spec pc you could get elsewhere cheaper.
dont fo ipod either. go creative. they are doiung very well right now but i have the newest sony and like it a lot.

You will aways get a quality computer from Alienware, you'll just have to pay a little more than everywhere else.

Dell has nothing to do with Alienware these days other than doing it's tax forms.

Alienware computers are very nice, but very very expensive. If I didn't build, I'd want an Alienware since it's one of the top pre-built computer producers quality wise imo.

Honestly, you can come up with a pretty awesome rig for $2000 or under if you build it yourself.
and I wouldn't touch that mp3 player for that price : /

screw Alienware. build your own.
Toast, not all Dell PCs are bad.... just the home PCs and servers. The business lines (Latitude, Optiplex and Precision) are pretty damn good.

I can build a computer that costs as much as a new car :p
VoodooPC is a great place to go if you have a lot of cash to build a computer.

my computer cost me less than 700 bucks to build, runs smooth playing games and other apps. I built it 1-2 years ago and it runs faster than most brand new dells i've had experiance with.
