Either the Search doesn't work or you people are just blissfully unaware of the saga that is the Stolen Sidekick.

Did you read all of it? Last update is two days ago, I'm wondering what's gonna happen next...
I'm still going through it now. I'm a little disappointed at the lack of thought in the site's design, but this obviously isn't the kind of site to think about that. I think it's pretty funny how many forum servers were killed by this though.

I just read all of it.
It's like watching an episode of 24, just not as "edge of your seat" and badass.
Pretty silly though. Stupid people steal their crap.

One of the friendly supporters actually redesigned the page, but it included graphics and it caused the site to crash again, so they reverted to text-only. :)

With a ~20% crime clearance rate, using this to pressure the police to pursue a stolen phone is ridiculous. Otherwise, I do like what they're doing. There's not enough shamings today.

Actually, I disagree. The police exist for the sole purpose of preventing and rectifying crime. Stealing a phone is a crime.

Yeah I found this on CollegeHumor's hotlinks a few days ago. They used to have forums for that site but they got taken down. The guy's having a lawsuit filed agianst him. What kind of bullshit is that?

We have unsolved home invasions, kidnappings, arsons, murders, rapes, abuses of all kinds, and other robberies more violent than this girl who's phone was stolen after she left it in a cab.

Those people who took the phone are just digging their own graves with that lawsuit.
It always comes to tragedy when people can't admit they're wrong. And when people lie, too.

It's not like they went into a store and took it, or they robbed and old lady. They FOUND it. I'm sure everyone here would take it too. I would lol. But once they emailed me I would have gave it back... maybe.

But once they e-mailed, it became a crime.

Also, they claim that they "bought" it from the cab driver, and according to that lawyer, they can still be held responsible for purchasing it since it seemed suspicious, or some crap like that.

And this is why I dont like the search function. Because Ive just started almost the exact same thread in the Pit. Bugger.
Anyway, I really want to find out what happens with this lawsuit. Its kinda funny really, how stupid some people are.

Maybe if I found a £5 note or something, but an expensive phone? They found it and made no attempt to give it back.
