This is the drumset I'm borrowing from my school. It's:

Yamaha Stage Custom Advantage (standard 4 piece sizes)
Black Swamp Percussion snare (14x5.5)
14" Zildjian K Custom Hi-Hats
17" Zildjian K Custom Fast Crash
20" Zildjian K Custom Dark Ride
20" Sabian Molto Symphonic Suspended
18" Sabian Hand Hammered Medium Crash
14" Paiste Signature Fast Crash
Iron Cobra Jr. Single Pedal, Tama Roadpro Hat stand

The snare drum has two strands of snares; one is the regular snares, and one is the type that go under marching snare drums, so I can get a real nice crack out of it just by tightening that strand.

Crappy, I don't reccommend them at all.

Yeah my band director loves me or something. I didn't even have to fill out any forms or anything, he trusts me.

Oh, I'm borrowing all the cymbals too, except for the Paiste, that's mine. Most of the hardware is mine too.

i WISH our school has a kit as nice as that!...we just ordered a new set and the teacher made the mistake of asking a guy at the school who's been playing for a month what to get....he told her to get a pearl export (standard sizes) and a ZXTi cymbal pack...total cost is 1500.

if she would have asked me...i would have been able to hook her up with a mapex m jazz setup and sabian AA's for under 1000!

the world isnt fair.

That floor tom seems really angled to me.

You're using a symphony suspended crash on a set? Might want to be careful with that, they're not designed for that kind of playing.

Looks pretty good though, I'm liking the K Customs.

I'm using it for the dry ride sound that I wanted sometimes that the K Custom doesn't really have.

Oh, I see. Still might want to be careful with it, as those cymbals are usually meant to be used with mallets, but I guess it could sound pretty good. The only suspended my school has is a 16", and sounds amazing, so no way would I use it on a set.

Very nice set, glad to see your school knows what they are doing when it comes to buying drum equipment!

Nice I love natural finishes. Why did the school let you borrow a drum set?

^I imagine because school's out and they don't want to leave it there/no one is using it anyways?

Those are sooo damn nice

Well I needed it because my quintet has a bunch of stuff this summer and my kit is a huge piece of crap. Plus, it was probably less safe sitting in the band room all summer than with me.

Damn, nice. I really should have got more involved with music at our school. But then that said, our music dept. wasn't anything special :(

Hot damn, your school is rich.

My school's whole music department it pitiful. The two best things we own would have to be some congas and a ****ty semi-acoustic guitar (that goes out of tune when you play it, and the input jack is GONE)

Sweet. I love the set-up. It's just like mine. However, you should rotate the mounted tom so you can't see the mounting hole from the front.

God, My band teacher is all like 'DONT HIT THE DRUMS THAT HARD!" and he dies if someone mutes the cymbals (Paiste 101's) with there hands..
He mentaly retarted...

Aesthetics don't matter much to me. I was going to take the mount off decided it was too much work, so it stays.

No, we're not. Far from it.

Then your music department is well funded, someone got a good deal or this is a one-off lucky thing?

I despise my school's music department. Everything's broken or sounds like a million choking cats, tied in a bag and smashed against a wall.
