Yeah, I don't know what the hell this stuff really is, but someone suggested a few bands to me awhile back, and I can't remember who it was, or what bands they suggested.
I want fast, gritty music like Outbreak. I don't know if they fall in this genre, but this kid I talk to on MSN says they're a "skatecore" band, and I want more like this.
Even if this kid's mistaken, I want some decent band suggestions, and a genre description if you want.

Not a real genre, but Bones Brigade maybe? I've never heard any band referred to as 'Skatecore'.

Skate-Punk is pretty much pop punk and it's not really a genre.
Skatecore is probably stuff like Bones Brigade. Thrashy stuff.

I was gonna say Bones Brigade and some Suicidal Tendencies, thats all I can think of.

That's what I was thinking, but I've heard the terms many times, and if it's anything like Outbreak, I'm sure to be a fan.
I've heard Bones Brigade, but it's been awhile. I'll have to check them out again. Keep the bands coming, and keep them thrashy.

Bones Brigade

Underdog's earlier material.
None of those bands sound like Outbreak though. Try: Eaten Alive and Ceremony.

KLU is definitely one of the more overrated bands in hardcore right now. Very boring band.

I read somewhere that the singer and guitar player met at some Skateboarding thing in Sask. And apparently 'skaters' like them.

No, it's a censored word on the forum so we have to use the apostraphe to show the name.

Bl'ast! were decent but they were a bit too similar to Black Flag in parts.
