Yeah, they have a pretty lame name, but I think they are pretty awesome. They are (were?) on the same label as Vincent Price's Orphan Powered Death Machine and Clancy Six, but they aren't grind like those two bands. The only thing I don't like about this band is the vocals, they take a little getting used to.

They're good but their songs tend to drag on for a little too long.

ehh it's not that this band drags on, i think the purpose of it is to get realllllly baked and just bob your head for 9 minutes at a time.
edit: the constant wah makes it even dronier...

I love Cyanide and Happiness.

They're pretty good, but the vocals are a bit too throaty for me.

The vocals are very like...gruff sounding, I think.

I don't think they sound very gruff...
I haven't heard the band, but when someone says "throaty", they generally mean that the vocals sound like they come from the throat (as opposed from the stomach or something), or that the throat sounds strained. Basically, that the singer lacks the correct technique to make his vocals sound good.

good conclusion, i'd say you were wrong but you said "generally" so i can't attack you for that (not that i would). i can't scream worth **** even tho i use my stomach but my "punk voice" is basically singing with that rhaspy sound to it. it's just how some people do it, not necessarily faulty technique.
