Apparently a new Sacramento band called Collosus (members of KTD and Hanover Saints) covers For Want Of. I can't wait to see them.
If all you homos like old DC emo, listen to End of A Year. They sound better than most **** that was actually from the time period.

Indian Summer are probably my favorite emo band. I'm almost positive they're not DC though they're OC.

They're my second favorite, just behind I Hate Myself.

RoS and Embrace are decent
I've never been able to find anything but a few songs by Moss Icon, seems like good stuff though.

I'm not trying to argue or anything, but music's emotional.
I understand the difference in newer emo, but what makes embrace more emotional than say minor threat?

Eh, they call it "emotional hardcore" because it means very angsty emotion compared to hardcore. I don't necessarily agree with the name because there's passion and emotion in every music, but whatever. I think people call it "emotional" in the somewhat negative connotation, meaning one becomes upset, flustered, and overcome with grief and "bad" emotion easily.

"Bad" emotion?

Emotions that aren't necessarily pleasant, i.e., sadness compared to happiness, love compared to desolation, etc.
