a few days ago i realized that my 5er has a really good slap tone, but im still pretty new (to slapping) and i hit the strings next to the one im aiming for along with the one i want to hit. So i was wondering if anyone had any advice or workouts other than just practice wicth i have been doing and it has been getting better.

P.S. i don't need any songs because i can slap just fine on my 4string, i just have trouble with how close together my strings are

is your thumb parallel to the strings or perpendicular? generally, bassists find that they are more accuarate when their thumb is parallel. and also, just practice your arse off, it will come.

yeah, practice makes perfect and it takes a lot of practice to perfect slapping

parallel and i asked a freind who is a bass playing god and he said i should slap an entire song and then pop the entire song and that helps.

Practice, practice, practice.

Also try playing songs that you know and slapping them, it'll all come in time.

This might sound weird, but Naveed will have my back, as far as your licks are concerned: practice chords.
