Main Bass

I was wondering what basses you guys use as your main bass (bass you use for most gigs/prefered bass that you own). I generally use a Peavy Fury IV.

I have two, Traben Torrent 5 and Brice Prestige Z 6. I use the Traben mostly for my metal band and the six-string for my experimental/prog jam rock band.

Note: I am just getting sarted with the jam band and am working on the lessons on here from Sade and Havic to learn how to two-hand tap. I think it would really fit in there, that is why I am using a six-string.

While this is true, i must say that no bass is inherintly "ugly." In my opinion, a bass is only as beautiful as the music that comes out of it. But still, please put only one or two basses if you must.

Ibanez SR300DX.... I used to love my Squier Precision, which is now my back up bass... But after playing the Ibanez, I see how much is really not that good about the Squier... The body is lighter than the neck and it'll drop to the left if I'm not holding it... The neck is really wide... I mean the Squier is nothing compared to the Ibanez

main bass? well it depends,
in my metal band i use both my 5 (rockbass corvette classic) and my 4 (fender marcus miller sig) because they're in different tunings, but for any other genre that i play i use my marcus sig as my main

I use a Dean Edge 5 string. I just put D'Addario roundwounds on them and I must say they are pretty sweet. I have never used D'Addario rounds before.

A man's tonal preferences may change. I can get a good growl from my Elite from my GK but I'd go custom shop: same body style and everything, just instead of EMG HZ's, I'd want some DC's put in. On top of that, emerald green finish and 6 strings. :thumb:
