Set the Record Straight for Me

OK...the Brand New/Taking Back Sunday fight. I want to know exactly what happened and why it happened. This is what my friend and I know:

Jesse was at a party with John. Jesse's girlfriend was there as well. Jesse was hanging in the kitchen when John went behind his back and hooked up with Jesse's girlfriend. John called Jesse and told him and Jesse said, "You're as subtle as a brick on the small of my back, so let's end this call and end this conversation."

After that, Jesse and John stopped talking for a while. They started talking again and now they're friends but not before there was a Brand New v. Taking Back Sunday fight. Like Brand New made shirts that said, "Mics are for singin', not for swingin'" in response to Adam swinging the mic a lot on stage.

What else happened in the fight? We're really curious and want to know everything, including what shirts were made and stuff like that...please explain.

I can't help you much, although I think Taking Back Sunday had a shirt that said "Swinging Since 1999", or something like that, in response to the "Mics are for singing" shirt.

I can't be bothered to type it all out again, as I've done it a couple of times.

EDIT : I'm going to try to type it all out, but I haven't really thought about it in a long time, so may get mixed up a bit.

Yes, Jesse and John had the fight regarding Jesse's girlfriend. Eventually all of that got cleared up and Jesse and John became good friends again, often joining each other's bands on stage to play Seventy Times 7 and There's No I In Team.
Then, the lead singer of TBS (Adam Lazzara) cheated on John's sister, who he was going out with at the time. This made John pretty pissed off, and he quit the band, and Shaun Cooper (bassist) joined him. Jesse took John's side in this argument, and made the shirt saying "Because Mics Are For Singing, Not Swinging", skitting Lazzara's live performances. Adam replied with a shirt saying "Proudly Swingin' Since '99", saying that he was proud of the way he swings his microphone.
I also know that sometime along the line, Brand New had a sign that they put at their merch table at gigs, saying "Ask about Taking Back Sunday for $5", which I thought was pretty funny.
John Nolan also wrote the song Your Name Here (Sunrise Highway) as a follow up to There's No I In Team, and that was about his regret of what happened, and kind of an apology, even though the two were best friends again at that time.
A lot of Straylight's songs are also about their past with Taking Back Sunday, and TBS wrote "Follow The Format" and "The Union" about John, and possibly other songs as well.
The only Brand New song that I know is about Adam Lazzara is "Okay I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't".


That's all I can think of at the moment, I've probably missed a couple of things.

I don't think many Straylight or TBS songs are about the topic though. Personally I think all of them have gotten over the ordeal, and it's just blown up into this huge fight between the bands. People look at the lyrics and instantly think it's about the argument between John and Adam. It's the same with Angels And Airwaves. I've read comments on Songmeanings from a lot of people saying "Oh yeah, this is about the Blink break up" or "This is about how Tom feels about Mark". It's bull if you ask me.

I think it's kind of sad that I used to think all this was really cool like a year ago, when infact it just looks petty and childish. Wars with musicians never end up cool, and I think all 3 bands did right to just forget about it and move on, no matter how many of their soon-to-be fans would circle jerk on Livejournal accounts in the future.
