Hey guys... Its been a while since i have been around but ive been crazy busy... but now with summer upon us, i will have a bunch of spare time. And that means with the time im gunna start a project bass... Me and my drummer(along with help from another bassist friend) have concived this outragous...you may even say stupid idea... but still i love weird stuff. We are gunna take a neck from a cello(broken beyond repair and i found it on the street), slap it on a self made box like body, slap on some crappy spare electronic i have laying around and make a all aroud dumb and weird instrument.... hey its somthing to do... and we couldnt care less how it sounds...
But comments and remarks aside, i need to get some pickup wiring diagram charts... and i have been serching.
I need a chart for wiring a humbucker and single coil into a single volume/single tone configuration. does anyone have one or know where to find one?
(BTW it is possible to wire a guitar pup and a bass pup together right?)yeah i know pretty ghetto....

Guitarelectronics.com or e-mail DiMarzio.
I think you are far better off wiring it V/V/T like a J-Bass because it's very simple.

Yeah I am pretty sure they are only $4 I picked up two 500k pots from Guitar Center around Chirstmas last year for $8 something.
There is no difference to my knowledge, the only thing that makes it a tone knob is that it has a cap soldered to it

Yea, they are the same thing, except their is a capacitor before the tone pot.
how long is the cello neck?

well i calculated the scale to be about 34 inches, and i can adjust as needed since im reconstructing it so it dosent have the L bend in it.
