without listening (i trust your skills) id go with mr pc. id stay away form the jaco lines, you said yourself theyve heard every single one more than enough. and you get bonus points for being cool with coltrane, but ill take a listen later

it's a slowed down chilled version of Mr. PC. It's really cool.

I hafta say, i really liked 2423, the one with the pic of venom next to it. Idunno, something about it just really hit it off with me. But i know to get into berkelee they like to focus a bit more on the jazzy stuff, so i'd say that Mechanico is the one to send in just cuz it sounds a bit more complex. Good job though man, i listened to every one of your songs on that site and loved it all.

I figured no one would know what Mr. PC is. I never hear it talked about on here.

mr PC is one of those peices that anyone who saw my jazz band back at uni would have thought me a great improvisational player. We always played it at speed (2??bpm) and i played it right once during a show. everytime i lost it halfway through the head and went off on some weird improv thing just hanging on for dear life. But it was one of my favourites. and it usually sounded really cool too.

man its fast and dificult to get cleanly and accurately I find it so anyway mostly because of the steady pulse at that speed to get the notes to sound perfect, but just go off on your own tangent. Hey thats the beauty of bass in most songs it don't matter too much if we go off as long as the rythmic pulse is right adn we're almost in key.

The bassist in the house band, David Hyde, plays it so well that it brings a tear to my eye. But then again, he toured with Chuck Berry, the man knows bass.

It's a really famous song, I'm not surprised.
