Well it's time for a list here, this time being the 50 Greatest Albums of the 90s. I plan to do this for every decade going back to the 60s, and I hope it works out as I want it to.

1.) Whoever wishes to participate must compile a list of 15 albums (in no particular order) from the specific decade, in this case from 1990 to 1999. EPs will not be accepted, obviously, and anyone who does not list a full fifteen will have their votes nullified.

2.) After compiling the list, send it to spanishbombs@hotmail.com, my email dress. I will then tally up the albums and put them in alphabetical order by artist. Then, I will list the top 50 on the site in that alphabetical order. Users will submit blurb-esque writeups on the albums. A user is permitted to write more than one, just to let you know.

3.) I will then post the results, writeups, and images of the albums in numerical order from 50 to 1 in a muse/article.

Examples:

Pitchfork's 100 Greatest Albums of the 90s Redux (http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/top/90s/index10.shtml)
Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time (http://www.rollingstone.com/news/story/5938174/the_rs_500_greatest_albums_of_all_time/)

I don't know nearly enough 90's hip-hop to do this, but I'm gonna try anyways.

masada

Well it's only 15 albums.

When you say "blurb-esque writeups" I'm assuming that one or maybe even two short paragraphs are acceptable?

Why don't you have a nomination and voting system instead of just having numerical entries. People will likely forget albums or have votes swayed by remembering and noticing albums other people post.

Universal truth? Nah-uh.

I'm in the process of making a list, most of it so far is ambient, trip-hop or pop. Which is what the decade is to me.
