Anyone ever heard of this company, or better yet, own a kit from them? My buddy told me about them today. he said he's ordering a kit for like 2 grand and he's hoping to get endorsed so it will be 50% off lol. I'm just wondering if it's good or not, i'm trying to get more than just 1 good opinion

if you dont know anything about them, go to www.risendrums.com, they do some pretty damn awesome things with those drums, but i guess looks arent everything.

Anyone, if you've ever played any of these kits or heard anything about them, your imput is much appreciated.

Thanks

I heard one live. Bwack of the David Crowder Band uses one. They sounded awesome. Of course they were mic'd, and possibly eq'd, but the snare sounded incredible.

They look like better versions of OCDP.

Very A typical Keller Shelled operation. I can't imagine their drums being any different then Conaway, except being twice the cost.
If you don't have a good reason to custom order, I'd suggest looking through the 1,000 of sets already made by the major companies that have been around for decades doing it.

Remember too, tuning makes the difference in a drum sound. I've heard guys playing on top of the line DW's, Yamaha's, etc and they sounded like crap. Some kid with a well tuned PDP comes up and blows em away.
