i was wondering if vic firth had similiar sticks to the travis barker sigs (i like his sticks, but only cause of the size not coz of the label...) in the zildjian stick range.
cheers:)

Look at the dimensions and the tip type at Zildjian's website. Take that information and try to match it to a Vic Firth pair on their website.

I think it's around a 5A, that's just a guess though.

go get some vaters
both my vaters and my vic firths lasted about the same amount of time, so I see very little difference between the two at this point.

They both make excellent sticks-I use Vater for my "normal" sticks and Vic Firth for my "light" and "heavy" sticks-it's just which one has the model closest to what you want in a stick.

I think the Barker ones have a round tip too (could be wrong), so make sure you look for that too.

All my sticks have lasted a long time. I've never broken one..
Broke my first head not to long ago, crappy stock snare head, cracked near the edge, probably due to my faulty last min tuning job before a gig lol.
But yeah I think they are 5 A's, check around. If not, go to a store and see what kinda sticks you like. I recommend the Vic Firth Evolutions. But diff. strokes for diff. folks.
ive only broken 1 vater stick and its been a 5b. usually they wear down so much i just replace them when i need to.

Im liking the zildjian sticks at the moment. I got 3 for the price of 2 (YEEHAW! :p). They're surprisingly good sticks. kinda cross between pro mark and vicfirth... finish wise, and quite long lasting too. Anyway. this doesn't have much to do with the thread. soz.

I'm loving the Gadd sigs I got, along with the Vic Firth 5B's. Someone said to look for a rounded tip, so that should be your main priority, shouldn't be hard to find in the Barker size.

I got a pair of those a few days ago. I've only played with them a little but they're great!

Ah crap, how 'bout we not talk about the correct amount of time the average pair of sticks should last.
It turned out badly last I saw it.
