Hello, I know this may not be the place to ask and i really should work it out myself but cannot get the hang of all of the accents. Would somebody please tab this song for me? My band want to cover it and i have got bits of it but need to improve it as the way i play it slightly different. I have searched everywhere and there are none.
Also i am interested in buying a program that can convert a song into tabs, and i am not sure of the name can anyone help. Sorry to be a pain in the arse...Cheers

Try to be more specific. Which parts are you having trouble with?

Good song to cover. Excellent song altogether really.

Very true BB.
TS, I'd suggest you attempt to transcribe the song, in real music notation, for the drums on your own. You'll improve so many aspects of your playing by doing this..

Good song to cover. Excellent song altogether really.
It's almost as fun as The Sound of Muzak :p
But yeah, as Josiah said, you'll learn much more by just sticking at it and transcribing it yourself, even if it means going over it 50 times.

Couldn't agree anymore. It would be so hard to find a tab for it anyway, even worse for "Mother and Child Divided".

Listened to the In Abstentia version about 5 times and can't find anything radically diffiicult in it. All the beats seem relatively straightforward. Just keep trying.
I find the old Porcupine Tree (pre-in-abstentia) a lot more challenging (but I would say that, Chris was my old teacher).

Well, he obviously didn't teach you much, because you clearly didn't process half of what you were listening to.
Anyways, Trains is an excellent song, but this is not an advanced forum topic.

Thanks for the help... i have been trying to transcribe it myself as i am starting to learn music notation, but i am jsut having trouble with some of the accents in the song as i can't seem to get them right.
I am not really used to playing stuff like this (I know i should) but i have been brought up on metal and taught myself. Anyway thanks ill keep trying :)

I agree, some of their older stuff is brilliant when Chris was in the band.
