Setup suggestions.

ok i was wondering what kind of setup you guys could reccomend for me. im in a metalcore band, and i'm trying new setups to see whhich one i like the most. i have a pearl forum. heres what me set consists of:

RACK TOMS:
12x10
13x11

FLOOR TOM:
16x16

SNARE:
13x3 piccolo

BASS:
22x16

CYMBALS:
16"thin crash
16"medium crash
20"ride
14"hi-hats
20"china
8"splash
10"splash

Why not just have a traditional 5 piece kit; bass, snare, two rack toms and one floor tom? You can, from there, just place your cymbals where you feel they are most comfortable and effecient for you to hit.

i agree, although im trying a 1 up 2 down set up currently, and i find the ride position much more comfortable, i dont think you can do that with the export mounts though, just keep a standard five piece, if money allows get an 18x16 floor tom or a 10x8 tom and have a two up two down

you can do it with the Pearl Mounts. Just get a 2-way universal clamp and clamp it on to a cymbal stand.

stick your 10" splash where my 11" bell is, and then stick your china above and to the right of the 16" crash instead of where i have my 18".

Ok since I don't know how to do a screen shot on an apple:

Have two rack toms, and a floor tom. Hats where they always are(to the left of the snare). Put a splash just to the right of the hats. Put your main crash about 10 o clock from your 12" tom. Then put a splash in between the two rack toms. Put your secondary crash about 2 o clock from your 13" tom. Put the ride behind your floor tom. Put your china about 2 o clock from your floor tom.
