i saw les claypool a couple days ago in concert. instead of a guitar player, they had a lady on electric sitar. she played a ten minute solo on it. It was cool, i guess, but i dont think my body can handle the amount of drugs it takes to fuly apreciate a ten minute sitar solo...
Not to knock sitars, its definateley a killer sounding instrument. how many strings do they have?

The body doesn't need any drugs to appreciate a ten minute sitar solo. Have you ever watched Ravi Shankars performance at The '67 Monterey Pop Festival? It'll blow your mind whether you've been hitting the hashpipe or not.

that's funny because indian classical music discourages the use of drugs :-\
