Need Help, Sorry Really Beginner Question

hi sorry, the answer is probably super obvious, but i was using my friend's version of GuitarPro when i saw that in parts of songs there were arrows above some notes that showed a up or down arrow that had a 1/4, 1/2, or full above them. am i supposed 2 bend the string, or slide it up or down the fretboard? thanks

Its a bend. The 1/4 is half a semitone, the 1/2 a semitone(Fret) and so on.

so if it says bend the 7th fret 1/2, Bend it til it sounds like the 8th fret.

alright thanks, i get it now. but can u also slide it up, or will that not work?

You can do it yea. U can Pull off and even tap it. Im guessing your not good enou tap yet.
