A new Metal Documentary on, Metal funnily enough...
Anyone seen anything about this? (http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0478209/Ss/0478209/iid_1021412.jpg?path=gallery&path_key=0478209)
Has anyone seen it?

Apparently it's the first Metal documentary that ask's why Metal is so frowned upon and stereotyped. This guy travels the world to find out why, he talks to some of the most famous musical talents of the last 30 years, he visit's the homeland of many of the musical offshoots of the Metal genre, and follows up rumours etc, about Metal's ties with Satanism and Catholicism. Seems very intresting to me...

I wanted to download this, but it's like 4 gig or something.
I've never seen it (never even heard of it), but I'm certainly interested now.

I'm pretty sure there's a 700 meg divx version going around on Bit Torrent.

I saw it in Theatre and on DVD.
It's amazing, a must see. YOu may not learn much if you know a lot about Metal, but it's damned hilarious, especially the bonus doc on Black Metal and the interview(s) with Mayhem.

I really liked it. I've been meaning to look at the bonus features though...havn't done that yet.

You have to, there's extended interviews and a totally new documentary on Black Metal.
It came with a really huge/ugly t-shirt when I bought it too, sweet.

Yeah, I have that t-shirt too. It's cool.

I'm probably just going to give it to my girlfriend, she likes to wear huge shirts around the house.
I actually have two, too, I got another when I went to Metal day at HMV

Yeah, I've seen it. I find the history of metal fascinating, but I knew most of it already, and I know you guys will probably know a lot as well.
The persecution of metal is talked about (i.e. the treatment of Twisted Sister) and just the general culture of metal.
But quite a few big name musicians are interview such as Bruce Dickinson, Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi and of course, there's the hilarious Mayhem interview.
If you guys don't want to fork out cash for it, just download it. I can see a 700 meg version on mininova, so you wouldn't have to get a whole dvd iso.

Omg I remember Ryan, when we first found out about him like the whole guitar forum got his aim address and talked to him and showed him the like 20 page thread in which we were making fun of him. I had that video going on and I was laughing my *** off and my brother walked in on the solo, and said man that is awful, it is disrespectful to music.

If you want to get the 7.77 gb dvd iso version, type in "metal headbanger's journey".
If you want the 700 mb DivX version, type it in without the apostrophe to cater for the bad punctuation :D.
