Does anybody know anything about Floor Pedals that are used for bass notes?

Its the same concept, that alot of organs have.
Where you can use your feet to play the bass notes.

My friend, who is a sax player, said years ago that he would use a set of floor pedals to substitue for when his band was without a bass player.

Does anybody know where I can find some of these?
Who makes them?
Do they hook up to a bass amp?
Are they still in production?

any info/pictures at all would be much appreciated.

I know there are a few places that sell hammond clone organs that also sell MIDI bass pedals. Sweetwater does for sure. Musiciansfriend might. Last time I looked sweetwater had at least two, one by Roland and one by somebody else. As for actual bass pedals to an actual Hammond organ, I imagine they would be rather expensive. The MIDI ones i saw went for about 400-500 USD.

thanks!
this is just what ive been lookin for.

I would love to get the extended version (with more pedals),
but it appears that you need to have an electronic keyboard/organ to operate this?

Im gonna try and find one of these at a music store and test it out.

I'm not sure if you do or not. The way I read it the sounds are already on the board itself, but you'd want to be sure. If you've got some money, an organ module like the one roland makes would work to hook the pedals up to, it would be a bit cheaper than an organ itself. Of course you could just go ahead and buy an organ too. Again not sure of your financial situation.

Something else you may be interested is the porchboard bass. Basicly its an electrified piece of wood, you tap it with your foot and it produces a bass tone of no specific note. Hook it up to any amp.

EDIT: alternativly, making one yourself doesn't look too hard. A few pieces of wood, a piezo mic element, and some wiring. I might have to try to for fun.
