Ovation Magnum i think it is. Like mid 70s i think. Pretty cool. Really heavy but its got a great tone.

Tell me what you guys think. This is the only one that ive seen in real life and not in pictures so i think its pretty neat. My dads friend gave it to me.

yea its a little pad that will mute the strings more the more you push it in. Ill try to get recordings up soon. yea my dads friend gave it to me, i guess, because he let me borrow it when i was first learning how to play bass, long ago. And so since i guess i stuck with it he figured it would be ok to pass it on to me.

There's a couple on ebay, could be worth $800+. Will be interesting to watch and see what they sell for.

edit: ok, I just looked at completed listings. The only one that sold went for $461. Some others that didn't sell had prices from $700 to $1200.

I'd probably blame the strings. Chances are, they are as old as everything else on the bass.
