I don't know what to offer for it. This guy bought it 6 years ago brand new (it's a warwick corvetter 5 btw) he's sent me picures of it and says there is a cosmetic marking around thee 12th frett and well i asked him a bunch of stuff and his answeres were more or less what i wanted to hear accept i forgot to ask about the body wood (it appears to be bubinga but im not 100% sure) but yeah what do you guys thing is a fair price to offer for this bass? i was at Long and Mcquade today and i was told a new one retails for 1300 CDN so would it be fair to offer him 800 or is that too little or to much? please aid me MX!!!

Possibly because Corvettes are better and he obviusly wants one... just a guess thoguh.

He wants a Corvette...so...let's answer his question. :p

I'd first ask him to make an offer. If it's around $1000, it's way too much. If it's around $650-850 it's reasonable. Try to settle on $700.

Hes Canadian, dear.

OK...so...700 USD = 994 CAD

1000 CAD should be OK, but I'm sure the price references in relation to each other in Canada are different than in the US.

Just food for thought, though. I tried. :(

Congrats, man! :chug:

Even if that price was low, you could've offered him a higher price. :p

Regardless, nice snag.

HAGGLE HAGGLE HAGGLE HAGGLE HAGGLE!! yes, £750 is probably a good price, but if it's a private sale, start at 600 and work up, try n keep him low, cos if you start at 750 and he says no, you gotta work up from there.

i'm sorry, what?
i just mentioned that as long as he remembers to discuss the price, he can keep it low, so even if he's asked to pay a decent price, he could save a bit more money. fancy explainin what i've so clearly failed to pick up on man?

sorry, conveniently failed to notice that bit of the convo. :p

hehe ohhh maaan am I ever giddy! ok soo heres the situation we've settled on the price of 750 CDN hes asking 800 and we've made a deal the reason i said 750 is because i wanted to keep 50 bucks for a new pack of wick strings right and hes like well i put the strings on 6 months ago so if i like the strigns on it i will pay 800 for it but if i don't hes fine with me paying 750. as for pics i am (as im typing) uploading thr two pictures he sent me of the bass. I belive my parents said they will take me tomorow afternoon to pick it up and at that time i will go camera crazzzy and take pics like madd. and yeah warwick tone is not as versatile as i originally had thought but that's ok I still have my Ibanez 5'er if i need it. ok pics are done uploading here we go

http://i6.tinypic.com/11jsy7m.jpg

and here is the second one he's sent me

http://i5.tinypic.com/11jt47k.jpg

i'm SOOOOO excited now i will have 1/3 permenent basses i want ( the other two are a Music Man Sting ray and my 3rd is TBD)
