I need advice on equipment.

Yeah, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what equipment I should get. I'm on a low budget, and this is just going to be a little bit hobbyish and not something I wanna spend thousands on until I get serious. Basically, I've started a musical group, and I'd like everything to be run off of a computer, as opposed to making garageband type demos. I was wondering if there are any cheap Microphones that can be adapted or that already work for the computer. Also, what cheap editing software would you recommend? Thanks.

get a couple of cheap mics that use 1/4" inputs, get a 1/4 - 1/8 adapter, and plug it in.

For recording, use Windows Sound Recorder! :thumb:
