Okay, I just bought a EBMM Bongo, and I love the thing to death. I'm primarily a guitarist, so I don't have a decent bass amp.

Right now the Bongo is running through a Roland keyboard amp (I think it's 40 watts) and it is just barely making it over the drummer. When it does, it sounds like someone's farting all over my low strings.

So since I've blown so much money on the Bongo, I want the cheapest way to get through a band without clipping, and still sound good. What amp would you recommend?

Alright, first give us a price range.

What type of music are you playing? How many guitarists are in your band and what type of amps are they using?

This will help us find soemthing you can afford that sounds good for what you'll need and that will be loud enough.:thumb:

Ignus, can you get those in the States? I've never seen them here.

My price range is really as high as I need to sound good. I'd like to keep it to under $500 if possible, although that might still be a little high.

My band does a lot of jamming, so we have other guitarists join a lot, so usually 2-3 guitarists using amps that go much louder than the drummer. Although they don't play very loud.

I really play every style of music, so I want something versatile.

Don't be fooled by the watts of this amp. It is the loudest 1x15 combo amp I've ever played. Also, it is the best sounding 1x15 combo amp I've ever heard. Even Sade used to love this thing.

Thanks for the help, everyone.

Burtonbassist, that song is actually a cue from Episode II, and can be found on that soundtrack. The song is called Love Pledge And The Arena.

Funny you ask that though, because I'm considering covering that on guitar, to add to my Star Wars cover collection.

Ashdown all the way. I have the MAG C210t-300 combo and 1x15" cab. Awesome tone, PLENTY of volume
