Anyone know of any really cheap bass DI boxes that they could recommend for a good clean tone?

We have 3 guitarists in our musical project and our bassist is quite unreliable but the only one in town, so I was thinking of picking up something cheap and filling in sometime.

I already have a decent Ibanez bass and Fender Bassman but I'm not lugging 3 amps to a gig.

It's killer with both Voxs already. I just want something that can be used into a PA without getting farty.

Countryman makes decent DI's that actually remain transparent and are pretty reasonably priced.

Be warned that you're going to get a lot of suggestions to buy either a Sansamp BDDI or an MXR M-80 even though they're not truly DI boxes... just a little annoyance of mine

How expensive are these, they aren't turning up in MF searches?

How are the Bass V amps?

^Would that work? I could use that for guitar also.

^^^The bass V-Amps are alright... I used to own the V-Amp Pro. My big complaint with them is lack of headroom.

That Nathan East box would probably sound pretty good, but keep in mind it has no balanced (XLR) output, just an unbalanced 1/4".
