New month, new thread, same deal. Enjoy.

If you're new to the mailing list concept, here's how it works:
Every day or so an email will be sent out to everyone on the list. My goal is to include 5 albums per day. In the email will be links to albums that have been uploaded by you, your fellow MXers, and myself. We will all have the benefit of hearing bands we might never have been exposed to. In addition you may find that album you've been searching for forever or find something you'd been meaning to check out.

If you would like to be on the mailing list, post your email address and then contribute to the discussion as you receive the emails. Posting ONLY your e-mail address without leaving a comment will NOT be tolerated. It's not hard to say "Thank you" or something else along those lines, but do NOT just put down your e-mail address, or you may be passed over.

This is a forum after all, so please post comments and discuss the music that you have downloaded. If you never post in the thread I may remove you from the list. DO NOT come in the thread complaining that you aren't getting the emails anymore if you've been sent links for all these albums and haven't bothered to post anything!

Yousendit has the best download speeds but the links expire after 100 downloads.

If you upload something for the mailing list, it would be helpful if you'd please include a description of what you've uploaded as well as the links. Reviews and links to band websites are great to go with an album. Please at least try to include the genre!

Some of the uploads may be in .rar format. To unzip these, download the RAR client, which can be found here (http://www.rarlab.com).

Windows XP Pro w/keygen. This is an iso of the disk, just burn it and pop it in. It also has a bunch of extras like winrar, winzip and many many more all activated. And I believe that activation is not required for windows. This has seven parts. Alright then, have fun and stick it to the man. These are now all up and they are on megaupload.

WMP 11 is pretty nice looking. Easier to add songs to the library and such, but I don't really use WMP often though.

That would seem like a good idea, and I'm all for it, but any suggestion for those of us that have 200 something hours of music and really don't feel like typing in each individual album? Is there some program I can use that'll automatically do it for me?

Not sure, I don't think so. I've got 150 albums listed - it took about an hour, but it's cos my computer was being really slow.

http://www.musicmademe.com is a good site to use, you just search the band and click on the albums you have basically. If you have a few windows open at the same time helps get it done a bit quicker.

I love the Trio, but they can never write anything different. It's weird, I anticipated Crimson so much and when I heard it, I thought it was really good. Now it just sounds bland. But I still listen to them every now and then.

Same for me, you can by pass it by playing the songs (by double clicking on them in your zip progarm, works with WinRar) and then find the path name through Winamp -> file info or wherever it is you see your ID3 info with. Then goto that folder it will be like C:/Temp/3sfdsfje (some random letters and numbers) and its different for every file just copy and paste them into a folder

My friend keeps mentioning them so I'd give it a shot. Thing is, I'm very picky when it comes to female vocals. There's just something about them, like the Hush Sound, that was fine with me. But Flyleaf, I like the music, but her singing ruins it. So I'll give it a listen, anything's worth a shot.

Same for me, you can by pass it by playing the songs (by double clicking on them in your zip progarm, works with WinRar) and then find the path name through Winamp -> file info or wherever it is you see your ID3 info with. Then goto that folder it will be like C:/Temp/3sfdsfje (some random letters and numbers) and its different for every file just copy and paste them into a folder

Click each song in winrar to get them into your itunes and then copy the files from your itunes into a file. Then delete the ones from the itunes and add the ones in the folder. This way the itunes knows where the files are. Last time it got confused
