The SOAD zip folder is password encrypted for me.

Edit: Right click the zip folder, go to properties, change the file name so it ends with ".rar." (minus the quotation marks) and then open with WinRAR and it should work.

I think, if you just copy that list and paste it into the address bar, everyone should receive the e-mail.


I may try to enter everyone into the contacts on the new account, but for now, I think that will work.

OK, I've created a new Gmail specifically for the Pop-Punk Upload which I'm just testing now with all the different upload sites. Search function on Gmail works well and efficient, and I've created labels for all the different upload sites and requests as well. I'm just gonna try out the other sites, then I'll post the address and password.

The idea of this is so people have an inbox they can upload to and search through all the entries to see what's new. Think of it as the latest uploads from the forum. The labels for the upload sites are so people know how long the upload has to last, and if they are expired, you can reply asking for it to be re-uploaded.

I've uploaded RX Bandits and Billy Talent through Yousendit and Mega Upload respectively, and added the correct labels to them. You can search for album names or artist names as well to check out what comes up as well, and look in the different labels (E.g.; Click MEGA UPLOAD on the green menu for all Mega Upload links).

I've uploaded RX Bandits and Billy Talent through Yousendit and Mega Upload respectively, and added the correct labels to them. You can search for album names or artist names as well to check out what comes up as well, and look in the different labels (E.g.; Click MEGA UPLOAD on the green menu for all Mega Upload links).

So yeah, check it out, and if you want, upload some stuff up there to help it along.

So everyone knows, this means I will not be sending a daily upload, so don't post here everyday asking why I haven't sent anything.

I'm going to give this system a try until the end of the month. At the end of the month, we'll discuss which way works best, and maybe even vote to decide which system to continue on with.

But, for now, I get to take a little break from sending out e-mails, while you guys try the new system. We'll see how things go.

This is a good idea, it's similar to the Punk upload blog thing a while back.

Wow, nice to see the idea being embraced. There's one thing I think we need to figure out though.

For the search on the top to work, in the description of the upload you need to put the band name and album name, and even genre if you think it's necessary (This could be incorporated later so you can look through folders for different genres). You can do it on Mega Upload and Yousendit fine, but I haven't tried it with Rapidshare or any others.

That's elementary, my friend. All you have to do is, of course, put all the music under a folder, which can be created yourself by selecting the "Make New Folder" option in My Documents, right click the folder, select "Send To" and then select "Compressed Zipped Folder".

You can right-click in a folder, and go "Create new .zip folder", and then drag in the album if you want to do it that way.

meh, each side has their ups and downs.. I personally like the e-mail way because it has the name of who uploaded the album then it has the ablum right underneath. Also it gets sent straight to you so you never miss out on anything. And you dont have to bother searching it every single day to see if something new has come up

That's a good idea. Like Brian is always at a concert, so he usually ends up having to send two issues out at once. I would absolutely love to do it for a month.

I would take a month too, but it'd have to be a month I'm not busy. This month would've been the ideal month. Next month I'll be doing a lot of marching band stuff, then the next months and later I'll be in school.
