Audacity

Just wondering if I could get some help here?

I recorded a guitar track on audacity using toneport ux1. That went fine. I am now trying to record some vocals over that but the input device selection menu is not saying "microphone" anymore, in fact it is blank and isn't giving me the option to choose anything.

I feel i'm being stupid but maybe someone could help??

Check that:

a) your connections are still good. Your soundcard devices are all securely connected to their respective ports.

b) your computer is recognizing the devices. The drivers are installed. The drivers are allowing the devices to work correctly.

c) Audacity is setup to recognize the proper soundcard. I believe this is found in the Preferences/Options menu (can't remember exactly where it is or what it's called and I'm not at home to check).

If you still have problems please give as much detail as you can about the situation, what you've tried, and what hasn't worked. Screenshots wouldn't be overkill if you think they might help.
