Not to mess up your sticks.

It gives it more attack or something too.

It usually doesn't creat as many broken/chipped/cracked sticks and lowers the risk of breaking your cymbal, usually.

Depends of the quality of the china you buy that equals the risk of breaking the china though.

Play it both ways, it should sound the same either upside down or right side up but like they said it wont damage the sticks as much if you play it upside down.

Sometimes. Sometimes not at all. If you get a cymbal that isn't made for your type of music, you run a bigger chance of breaking it as opposed to a cymbal that is made for your type of music.

Do all chinas end while going up?

That one ends while going down, so sticks aren't the issue.

But this one does.

Haha, nice one. But anyways, I inverted mine, it looks better. Plus its kinda weird hitting the lip of it right-side up.

really? i never noticed that with my wuhan it sounds the same either way to me...

FockerTheLopper

I have mine backwards but its smarter to do it the other way. You can still get the attack and not ruin your sticks by hitting the body of it with the shaft of your sticks and you can use it as a ride cymbal. I just never ride it and I'm too lazy to make that little stretch when its mounted normally.
