So much growl and yet so clear and defined, with a glassy high end (it was running through an EA rig, sounded ace). I'm inclined to think the bass had a lot to do with the tone, because when I plugged the guys fretted Specter Euro 5 string in, it sounded a bit dungy.

Most definetly, but you would think I would of course say that. But I would say i'm asking a very fair price for an amazing bass.

At work, a band were setting up to play an evening show for a Wedding Buffet. Me and Dave were sitting around, and I heard the bassist busting out some Stanley Clarke licks so we got talking and he offered me a go on his gear! Canny bloke, and a great player. However, it was a Pentabuzz that I played, red/orange over flamed maple with a lined neck. If I had a couple of grand spare I'd own one....but just a Buzz, 4 strings ftw!

EDIT: I have work too, starting at 7. Unlucky Dave has already went, started at 4 today. And Ronald tells me you're both now collegues in the McDonald's franchise!
