1. What are the use for brushes?
2. Do coated ambassadors make good bass reso's?(mine is due anytime now because i bought one!)And before you say i bought it because ive heard good things about them on previous threads but i thought i would just clear the answer up seeing as i had some more questions!
3.When i go to the store next i will be picking up a few odds and sods (stick holder, sticks and is there anyhthing else you might suggest to pick up like really simple things like the above?(not a massive amount to spend £30-£40 minus the things above.I also have ordered some moongel to dampen my kit down.
Thanks for any replies! (if any lol):chug:

Brushes are used in a completley different way to sticks, they are used mainly on the snare and are literally wiped around the head, causing a hissing sound. You'll definately have heard it in some kind of jass, somewhere.

Im going to try out everyhting i can find in the shop when i go!!!! Im looking forward to it so much.
I was wondering is there any specific type of sticks you recomend my sticks are::

Same, i love the pete erskine ride sticks.

I use weckyl sticks too, fellow user :chug:
3. Don't buy the moongel! resonance = good you won't get heard as well in a live situation if you are muffled, buy some guitar polish to shine your drums with, it works good.
Don't stinge out on sticks, they may be cheaper but the wood isn't as dense or high quality, the higher the pitch the denser the wood and tehrefore less chance of breakage.
Pitch pair sticks as well (hit them on say a carpet and match the tones up)
