Ok guys...i need your help.

I have to make something with wood in tech class and i want it to be something i can actually use on my drum kit...so hit me with ideas...FAST.

I was going to make a stave snare until i realized my school doesnt have a lathe.

there really isnt all to much you can make without a lathe

you could make some fancy cymbal toppers maybe

A wood block is pretty much the only thing that wouldn't envolve a lathe. And it shouldn't be too hard, aside from a clamp for it.

Yeah, make some cymbal toppers, like those spike-looking thinges that ROBO from The Misfits has on his cymbals :) I have always wanted those things... lol

actually, a wooden cymbal stand would be pretty sweet, but pretty impractical.

Indeed *hit ride* oh **** it snapped.

I reckon you should make a double kick pedal, or a pedalboard and seel it to a guitarist/ bassist.

(in spirit of the other thread) you could be daring and try to make a really primitive cajon!
I bet they're much harder to make than they appear....but maybe buy some guitar strings and/or snare wires....maybe some little beads for the guitar strings? I don't know.. but sounds like it could be a fun little project, and who knows what kind of sound you can get if you experiment..
