I have the Juno-D and it kicks ***. It's small (61) key so it's really light and portable. It's a nice cross between your standard preset keyboard sounds and an analog synth because it has knobs on it that effect the sound like cutoff, resonance, attack, decay, and release time. There's also different effects that can be played with as well. It has awesome pads, leads, and a ton of intruments. You can also transpose keys or whole octives, perfect for playing with down-tuned guitarists.

I can't help you out on the SO3 however, I've never played one. The Juno-D I can tell your first hand is amazing but I'd also check out the Roland SH-201 which is released this month. It's a totally analog synth keyboard with all your controls right on it.
