Josh Homme/ Kyuss style modes...

Well im not really sure if any people are into kyuss here but i was wondering if anyone that listens to them can tell which modes josh homme tends to write/solo in, in particular the end solo of '50 million year trip'
I'm asking because i dont have that good of an ear (yet) to guess which mode/scale something is played in, and im looking at learning a few new modes..

I don't know much about the theory of it, but learning the Writhe solo and the Green Machine one are great ways to get started with his style

50 Million year trip has a couple of guitars in the solo, but there is a video on youtube of it live so maybe you can pick up what hes doing off there

Yup, hes quite the lead player is Mr Homme, how he got capsized down I'll never know
