Home-made fingerpicks

I just lost one of my metal fingerpicks and I was wondering if there are any household objects that I could make a good replacement out of. I'm probably going to get a new set next weekend, but the closest place is kind of far away.

So if any of you banjo players know how to make a replacement please share your info. Oh yeah, I need one of the finger ones, not the thumb.

Just use it as an opportunity to learn clawhammer.



But if you really must, you can try gluing an acrylic nail so that it's on the fleshy side like a finger pick would be, and then wrapping medical tape around that to keep it steady.
