So i'm looking into buying a synthesizer for my new musical project...the only problem is that i have no idea where to start looking. I really like the synth tones that bands like The Flaming Lips, Radiohead and Of Montreal have, so i'd like to get something that sounds somewhat like those. I'd also like to keep this under $800 if possible, $1000 is my maximum...so don't start telling me to buy a Moog!

I think I'm gonna get a MicroKorg. They're are two that are currently on Ebay with a 300 dollar reserve.
I'll get one, you get the other. :p

I would really like to get my hands on a ARP pro soloist. Tony banks used one.
