Just had a listen to Employment for some reason. It has maybe 2 good songs (the singles: "I Predict a Riot" and "Modern Way") but is inundated with sub-mediocre crap like that stupid "Oh my God I can't believe it! I've never been this far away from home." song. Also, they sucked on Live8 on TV (which is as close as I want to get to one of their live shows).
So, I'm curious: does ANYONE like this band?! It doesn't seem too likely. ITT: Share your opinion.

I dont think anyone does no. Did hear about Ricky Wilson (the lead singer) getting hit by a car the other day. GIVE THAT DRIVER A FOOKING MEDAL

They're ok, I used to like them quite a bit but my tastes have changed quite a bit, they're fun every so often but not for long.
Good at parties and stuff though :).
The Kaiser Chiefs are the reason why I hate music sometimes.
That's not entirely true. But I don't like bands like that, that try to ride the wave of whatever fad is "in."

dont give me one, i failed. i will kill him next time
It's too bad he didn't kill him. They're not canceling any tour dates, actually, which kind of sucks for everyone with functioning ears.

I quite like them to be honest. Their singles at least, as well as Saturday Night and Born to Be a Dancer. The catchiness is hard to ignore.

Being an Oasis fan doesn't mean you have to type mancunian.
I liked 'I Predict A Riot', but the rest of the album is stunningly boring. It sounds like a compilation of Paul Weller's crappiest album tracks.

It's funny that your user title says "Indie Pop guru of MX" and right below is the Arctic Monkeys' album cover. Good job, fag. You just confirmed that you don't know nothing about anything.
What were you going to say?

They are pretty mediocre. At least I Predict A Riot is pretty great... Hessles (not on the album) is their second good song.. and that is pretty much it...

You call 20 album reviews, a blurb and a 86% approval rating nothing about anything? I think what you said about Wilson was rather childish and offensive. Sure, Kaiser Chiefs aren't the best band in the world and I doubt they'll be around in a few years or so but hoping their frontman dies is just plain stupid. I'm gonna try to wrap up this conversation now cause I know if this get anymore out of hand we'll both end up getting banned. So if you don't like the Kaiser Cheifs, that's fine. Not that many people on here do, but you don't have to waste your time making childish comments toward their frontman.
Ps. Before anyone calls me a fanboy, can I just say. I don't really like Kaiser Chiefs. 'I Predict A Riot' and 'Oh My God' were pretty cool but the rest are just watered-down Blur B-sides

In my opinion, 'Oh My God' is pretty much a contender for worst song of the millenium (to date).

20 album reviews on this website doesn't really mean anything considering anyone can submit a review, and people are usually nice enough to give them a good review. Get a job writing for a magazine or something, and then you can claim to know all you ****ing want.
I don't usually wish death on people, but if that's what it takes to get them to stop making music, well, then that's what it takes. I'm sorry.

Yes, that seems reasonable to me.
Nice avatar. Tim is better than Mike, though, and that's a fact.

"Saturday Night" irritates the hell out of me since it is played every 8 minutes on NHL 06. "I Predict a Riot" is alright but everything else is pretty bland. Nothing much to love or hate, really.

you know you can turn the volume off and play your own songs.
and I think it's funny when british people hate their pop culture figures.

They're ok. Kind of like a lot of other bands, not much originality but you can't wish death on them for trying and i guess sort of succeeding.
Dei, you are one ****ed up customer.

I'm a student at Leeds College Of Music. The Kaiser Chiefs aren't one of my favourite bands, and most of the people I've met dislike them. Nevertheless they're a favourite with DJs at pubs and clubs, and with the average run-of-the-mill students who listen to chart indie. I guess they can be quite catchy, but they really over-use that "aaaaaaah... aaaaaaaahhhhhhh" build-up. It's in basically all the singles they put into the charts, and it really irritates me whenever I hear it.
The band did a songwriting workshop for some students on the pop music degree course at the College Of Music... A friend of mine attended, and they said the song he'd written was "okay, but you should cut out the second half of the second verse and go straight to the chorus". Another friend raised her hand and said "The verse is one of the best parts... Are you trying to tell us how to write good songs, or just how to write hit songs?"
I haven't heard the album so I can't really judge all their material. But the stuff I've heard gets annoying through repetition.

I haven't had a chance to listen to the entire record but "Oh My God" and "I Predict a Riot" were good.

The album is quite average but does have some catchy songs on it.
This isn't a hijack but Goo should have never happened.
