Ok so I'm looking for a downloadable recording program..I've tried Adobe Audition 1.5 that was ****ing awesome, I've also tried Sonar to but I didn't really get how to work it..So does anyone no any other programs that are like Adobe Audition 1.5 that I could try. I'm thinking of buying Adobe but I wanna try some other programs before purchasing it..
Thanks

I like Cubase SX3 personally, if you're planning on buying one then I would recommend just downloading a few of the good ones for free just to see which one you like best before spending out on them, as they're pretty expensive and everyone has their own preference really.

i've got sony acid 4.0 and it works great. i would've made my own topic for this question but it says i have to wait 24 hrs. major bull****. so i wanted to know if there were any websites that have official/unofficial presets for acid. i could spend hours messing with the functions but there has to be some library that has presets

I'm a weird one and perfer Cool Edit over anything else (except for maybe Adobe auditon)
If you're not into the sample side of things as much as you are the recording side then get Sound Forge instead of Acid since it's geared more towards straight forward recording. I second Audition, it's great. You can also get Pro Tools reletively cheap if you have an M-Audio device.
All the ones mentioned are pretty good. Don't ignore Sonar after just a quick try though, it's a seriously powerful program and once you get to grips with it you can easily mix studio quality tracks. The learning curve is pretty steep, but it's worth it!!

I like Logic. But I have a Mac and so Logic is the logic choice for me. I've also worked with Cubase, and I thought it was easier then Logic.
But, What is it exactly you want to do?
