Hey all,
I am converting to a mixer with a digital interface and/or a mixer that can go to a 4 track I already have, so heres my question. I was either going to get the Phonic Helix FW 18 http://www.music123.com/Phonic-Helix-Board-18-FW--i241893.music
which would basically be my analog and digital, and Id have both options wrapped up in one package

OR

Get this analog yamaha mixer (which comes with two free mics)
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/YamahaMG166FX16Input6BusMixerwithDSP?sku=630053
and then get a 2-4 track firewire or usb interface, one I was looking at
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/MAudioFireWireSoloMobileAudioInterface?sku=701364
and then I would end up with three mics, which would pretty much justify the extra money Id spend...

or instead of that yamaha analog mixer...
maybe this behringer
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/BehringerEurodeskSL2442FXPROMixer?sku=631247

ideas? suggestions?
which one do you think I should go with?
Thanks a lot

I think the Yamaha may be the better option for the sake of quality.
However the Behringer would be the better option for the sake of the extra features.

So it's up to you, do you want quality or features?

well im no pro, so im thinking as long as the quality of the yamaha doesnt overshadow the features of the behringer....i would probably go for features...and ease of use? which one has that out of the two? I think an analog way will be better, i can always turn it into digital if i need to

I'm considering getting this:

I have always liked Mackie stuff. I'll have to look on eBay for the firewire card though.
