This thread does exactly what it says on the tin.

Mine is probably Agent Smith from The Matrix.

Oh yeah and post why, so we can get some kind of debate going.

Zombies.

As for a character, and just from the movies I have, I'll go with Woo-jin Lee from Oldboy. That guy's revenge is right up there with Cartman making that kid eat his parents.

Oh man I was just watching that the other day, Gary Oldman is definitely nuts in that movie. With just any random actor, it could have been overdone and campy, but I think he did it great.

Off the top of my head, I think of Tommy DeVito from Goodfellas, played by Joe Pesci. In the beginning, he just seems like your average mobster, but by the end, he's off his rocker, and you see what happens to him.

Hard to pick...

Jaws - Various James Bond films.
The typical prisoner who rapes other people (Shawshank Redemption, American history X)
T1000 - The Terminator 2
Jason Vorhees - Friday the 13ths series (he has a cool mask)
Darth Vader (does he count) - Star Wars
Darth Maul (coolest villain in movie history) - Star Wars

Mexican Bandito

Annie Wilkes (Kathy Bates) in Misery

The Joker was okay in the first Batman movie, but I definitely prefer the Joker from the animated series, voiced by Mark Hamill. My favorite villain was probably Darth Vader, at least until I saw how much of a fag Anakin was is Ep III. I'd have to say Boba Fett's my favorite "villain," although he wasn't really on one side or the other. When the new Spidey movie comes out, Venom will proably take Boba's place, depending on how close they stick to the comics.

Let's not forget Dr. Evil.

Tillius
05-24-2006, 10:55 PM
Hannibal Lector.
He's so crazy, yet so intelligent so you can't help but feel creeped out by him in the movies.

Michael Myers.
No matter what you do to him, he just keeps on coming back and doesn't stop until you're dead.

Lestat de Lioncourt
Though he's evil as hell, you can't help but feel some sort of pity for him.

T-1000 from T2 for serious

Kakihara from Ichi the Killer, although I'm not really sure if he is considered a villian or not.

Alan Rickman makes the best bad guy.
Kevin Spacey in The Usual Suspect, well he is the bad guy in a roundabout way.

Jack Nicholson (SP?) in The Shinning, man that film is awesome, and so is his acting.
