Honestly, I don't listen to a lot. I mainly listen to emo but I listen to some hardcore bands...not a whole lot, though. I do like GB and CBK, though.

I don't know when I started listening to it. I've always sort of been into it, I guess, just not a whole lot.

Yeah but they're playing BB Kings... which is a lot better than CBGBs, and BB Kings is like.. 3 blocks from the Path on 33rd I think...

I forget.. Maybe BB Kings is on 57th..

Either way, I wouldn't want to see them in CBGBs anyways. I've seen them there enough in the 80s. They are amazing live, or they were back then. Hopefully they haven't aged out of their ability to kick it like the old days.

Let's Chop Cats!
05-25-2006, 02:09 PM
Oh yeah I forgot it's at BB Kings. That is a pretty nice place, provided they don't have the barricade up. When I went there to see the Bouncing Souls I was lying down on one of the booths because I was tired, so some bouncer came up and told me that if I was drunk I had to get out, I showed him I could walk a straight line and probably repeat the ABC's faster than he could, he got mad and left.

I watched the CBGB's live stream a few months ago when they played, sounded pretty tight especially for not playing together for so long (I'm sure they practiced a few times though). Better than Bold have sounded in the shows they have been playing.

Wait... you're bummed Chain is sold out and then you say that the Glass House blows? You're on crack.

4 reasons off the top of my head Glasshouse > Chain:

1. Glasshouse isn't a furnace

2. Glasshouse allows ins n outs

3. Glasshouse hardcore shows always rule (see: SOIA last week)

4. Glasshouse won't kick you out for stage diving
