Well, this is going to sound pretty weird but as a child well over 12 years ago I remember my dad had some tapes with some very strange material that I haven't been able to dig since.
Basically, I recall hearing covers of songs like 500 miles ("Away from home, away from home, cold and tired and all alone... yes I'm 500 miles away from home") and Where have all the Flowers Gone? (Everyone should know this song) by a group of harmonized a capella chipmunk-like voices that a liked a long time ago. That's basically it, harmonized, 3-part vocals, very high pitched and unhuman voices probably produced through speeding up the tracks singing those songs... There were more but I can't remember and I can no longer find he tapes. My dad has no idea what they were called, strangely, but he does remember hearing them.
I couldn't find anything online so possibly the stuff is completely unknown or buried in the past. Anyway if someone can shed some light on this I'd be extremely pleasantly surprised. thanks
