Just kidding.
Who here listens to Rufio? They're a band I can listen to every once in a while but they get boring really fast, despite the fact they're all pretty good musicians.
Also, the bassist Jon Berry (I think) left, correct? Any word on a replacement?
One last topic for discussion: any ideas about a new album coming out anytime soon?
-Gav
Actually, unless I remember correctly, there was talk a while ago about him leaving, but it didn't happen. I believe it was that somebody close to him in his family (I think his brother) dies and he needed to take a break, so the whole band kind of took a break at that point. But it didn't last long and things are all well and dandy now. I do believe that he is still with them.
Yes, I love them, based simply on the fact that they really all are amazing musicians. I'm not a huge fan of the voice, but I can live with it. However, I do agree that they get a little boring quickly.
But they put on one hell of a live show!

AIDEN SUCKS WTF WASN'T THERE JUST A THREAD ON THEM.....Ohhh :p
Rufio is a solid band, I'm not sure about their bassist, but Perhaps, I Suppose... is an amazing album but I didn't enjoy The Comfort of Home as much, a new album would be nice but I haven't hear anything about it.
I really, really like Rufio, and they very much deserve more recognition in the pop-punk world. Perhaps, I Suppose... and The Comfort Of Home are two very solid albums in my books. I haven't heard the other one (1999? I can't remember, but I know it's in Roman numerals).

Perhaps, I Suppose... is a solid album, but I've never been a huge fan of The Comfort of Home. And that Roman numeral one is 1986, I think, and I haven't heard that one either.

I thought Aiden got re-opened. :p
I've heard some Rufio, didn't really care for the vox, rest was decent.

Above Me is like one of the best pop-punk song ever...
I would like to retract my early statement. I just looked into it, and Jon did leave. That=Lame.
However, I do not know about the singer at this moment.

they are ok. extremely repetitive to me. My short attention span cant take 15 three minutes songs that all sound the same. But everyonce in a while I can listen to a few of their songs.

Rufio is alright I guess. I saw them a couple years ago at Warped, and they were decent.
I have a couple albums by them, but never listen to them.

Just kidding.
Ho HO!!!!!
You got me.
Also, i dont listen to Rufio. After watching an old live Taking Back Sunday video though, i can guess that Adam Lazarra loves them.
I like Rufio. I own Perhaps, I Suppose.... It's a pretty good album.

I love Rufio. Perhaps, i suppose is such a great album, but its the only one I own. The bassline work throughout is superb (especially Still). I think that bass player left before Jon joined (then left), but I'm not sure...

Is that the one where Adam is wearing a Rufio tee? Because that's quite a giveaway.
I wonder why not so many people like The Comfort Of Home. I thought it was a solid album with some really fun tracks to listen to. I think the interludes may have ruined it a little though.

My friend is an idiot, I was listening to The Comfort of Home in the morning before school started and my friend sat down next to me and put one of my headphones in, he took my mp3 player and kept playing the interludes over and over again and he kept acting like he was in love with them. It was actually pretty funny.
i like the rufio song that goes "this is out of control... something something something!"

from Rufio's website:
1.23.06 - Farewell from Jon
To the fans and friends Ive made over the years in Rufio. On January 21st 2006, I played my last show for the band on a snowy night in Shibuya, Tokyo. My heart left the band a while ago, and now I feel its an appropriate time to physically leave the band while were still friends, just how we started it. I want to say thank you to all of our fans in all parts of the world, youve been nothing less than spectacular to us, and especially to me. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to play in stages all over. Im a little saddened to say goodbye to Rufio, but Ive never been more excited to think of doing something new with my life! Im leaving the band, but not the music. Thank you for an amazing five and a half years!!!

Annoying band. The dude's voice is terrible. I liked "Science Fiction" the first couple times, then felt like killing myself every time it came on.

Umm yeah, the vocalist's voice is really whiny, reminds me of the dude from New Found Glory.. But they all play their instruments well, so it's all good to me ^^

When I first heard the songs I was like wtf gav, but I got that it wasn't a serious band after looking at the rest of the songs and the site.
My face was never ok in the first place. :(

Then why did you make a thread on them and say how you liked listening to them?

I said they were OK from time to mine. I wanted a general opinion on them. I figured it would make for good discussion.
