The skin is still all calloused up but when I pick up the acoustic to play it really cuts into my fingers.

Warmoth has 4- and 5-string passive Seymour Duncan soapbar p/ups for $59.25 each or $112.50 for a set. That's significantly less than a single 7-string bart. I may buy 3 and do some strange configurations.

If you get the DR Tight Fits (?), then both have similar characteristics (twangy and edgy, hoping I'm using the right adjectives), but I'd go with the DR's for slap.
