some seriously ugly basses (but hey I like the furbass of dusty hill) anyway that one on the right front row, does that by chance have a curved fingerboard (ala double bass, cello) I always wanted a bass guitar with a curved fingerboard

Just something about natural wood finishes, I can't stand to see a great wood painted over unless the bass is a cheap, made from multiple pieces so that it looks like a chessboard type, in that case it can be forgiven.

I just cut out the fur (really messy, sheds a lot), and hot glued it right onto the body. I did a piece for the front and the back, then a strip for the edges. The hot glue holds pretty good and you can actually rip the fur off later and the body is still in decent shape. I wouldn't do it to a nice bass, but the body isn't totally screwed up if you change your mind later. The gold crap on the pickups and fret markers was just from a sheet of sticker stuff. I don't know where I found that, but it certainly added to the rediculous nature of "the Beast." The guitarist in my band put black and white zebra fur on and old guitar after I did my bass, so we had matching pimpitars.

It did in its day.

That bass actually doesn't exist anymore at all. It was consigned to the "spare parts" pile long ago. It was fun (and comfortable) in its day though.
