Every time I hit my bass drum or my toms the snare part on the bottom of my snare (a pearl firecracker) rattles and makes a noise. How do i fix this?

change your tuning of either your snare, or all three of your toms. It's becuase they are tuned so closely to the frequency of the snare. The only really way to change that is to change your tuning.

soo... what should i tune them to?

you don't have to tune them to anything. Just either change the tuning of your snare drum (mike it higher or lower, it may also have a lot to do with the bottom head to, bottom contributes a lot to tuning) or make your toms higher or lower.

it's either the one of the two things.
1. The tuning.
2. They are way to loose.
If you don't know how to tighten your snares there is a nob, normally on the throw off, and you can turn that to tighten your snares. If that doesn't work you may need to take your snares all the way off and put them back on tighter. If that still doesn't work then it is definetely the tuning on your drums (which cuases 95% of all ringing/ snare rattling issues as you'll soon see).

OH MY GOD..........................
it is supposed to do that!!!!!!!!!
take your snare to some other room and hit your bass drum or toms... bass drum in particulary.... They will sound like crap if the snares don't rattle. try it! or you will have to re tune the whole set to sound decent... most of my local sound engineers at shows or stuff like that make this mistake - they mic the bass drum first and then the snare drum, they have to re mic the bass drum again.
so... let it rattle!

Yeah the rattle is unstoppable, to many people overtighten everything on thier snares and choke the sound in doing so.

I prefer the sound of both my bass drum and toms without the snare on. I sometimes spend a few weeks with the strainer off, and some with it on.
But i'll put it on when i'm playing at practise, or with other instruments.
As is suggested, you need to tighten your snares a bit, and tune both heads on your snare. Yes, the batter can cause snare buzz.

tighten it, either with the knob or undo it and put it on tigher again. Or check and see if you have broken beads, they will rattle A LOT!

.
I will turn my snare off if i just want to hear how my bass drum sounds, if i'm practicing something with a lot of double bass and i cant hear it over my snare/cymbals.

I don't think my snare rattles on any of my drums except when my 10" tom is hit.

same here but it is my 12' tom that causes it. None of my other toms or bass cause it to rattle.
