is there a better/cheaper place online to buy gear (in the u.s.) than musicians friend? don't get me wrong they have good deal and all, but you would think there would be more than one. (i'm not a big fan of ebay, at least for a bass or an amp. i like to see it before i get it, and try it out, or just buy new.)

I'm pretty sure the online sam ash store does "B" stock and runouts alot which make the gear cheaper.

Look at music123 or check out Craigs List in your area.

There should be a city close to you where you can check out the equipment and jam on it, if possible. It's like a better eBay.
